King of Crap

Up until the 1700’s, men of wealth, property, prestige and power, were called;
‘Lords’.
People, underlings or peasants would address them as ‘My Lord’.
They were the kings over their little kingdoms, fiefdoms, families or workplaces.
People today still want that kind of kingship over their personal power, property, or prestige,
Yet, if they do get to that pinnacle, we see that it always ends the same;
They all feel like they’re in a bucket of poop, and have become a ‘King of Crap.’

Now, even back in the 1700’s that was nothing new.
Since the dawn of human interaction, it has always been this way.
The lust of the flesh has always driven man to desire being rich and powerful.
To be in control, to be the king of their world.

    But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
   • 1 Timothy 6:9

But the very next verse tells us what we forget.
That even as Christians who should  know better, our greed and pride of life, which may actually may create our kingdom, will still only make us grow in our garbage to make us a King of Crap!

Because
      It will re-direct our attention.
      It will re-prioritize our actions.
      It will re-store a self based behavior.
      It will re-instate in ourselves a sin nature.

    For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
   • 1 Timothy 6:10

But
 – What if we changed our ways?
 – What if we permanently changed our mind?
 – What if we sought to please GOD more than we pleased ourselves?

Well, the Lord tells us what would happen.

The Lord tells us that HE will create in us the kingdom desire we should have.

The Lord tells us that HE would fill our hearts.

   ☆ Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.
   • Psalm 37:4

When I first heard someone say that verse, I thought it meant:
If I made God happy, He would give me what I wanted.

Even though I got it wrong, way wrong in my selfishness, it wasn’t far off.

What this verse means is;
When I desire the Lord, and choose to live for HIM
It makes HIM happy
So, HE then provides for me
the desire within my heart, and then shows me how to get it.

Had I not done that, I would have grown in my garbage, sat in my bucket of poop, and become king of crap.

But no.
I chose the Lord.
I let go. I surrendered.
I let HIM take charge.
He gave me new desires.

My heart led me in a new direction, and the Lord gives me daily clues on how I am supposed to go about achieving the destiny HE has planned for me.
HE will show us, and lead us.

    The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps
   • Proverbs 16:9

So, instead of being a ruler, an overlord a king of crap, climbing up to the top of your pinnacle, just to see bags and bags of garbage…

Our Lord wants us to be servant leaders.

To be examples of service, love, grace, mercy and compassion.

It is like God is saying to us; ‘Don’t be a king of crap, be a glorious servant in the greatest kingdom ever…The Kingdom of God!’

 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
   • 1 Peter 5:2-5

So, let us all seek to serve in the Kingdom of God.
And not strife to grow a garbage life and become a king of crap.

One day as a servant in God’s kingdom, will be better than eternity as the king of Crap.

I love you guys!-
