BOOM & ZOOM!
We are living in a time where the news stations live by the mantra of“If it bleeds, it leads!”.The worse it is, the more eyeballs it will get.Meaning the more they can say; “Beware of the scare that’s out there.”The better it will be for them.But we don’t need to live in the worlds love of doom & gloom…we should all be living in BOOM & ZOOM!But sadly too many, even many of those within the church, don’t live in that TRUTH of the Good News, and have chosen to live in the lies of the world. ☆ Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. • 1 Timothy 4:1There was a man I was speaking to about this exact topic.I was speaking to him about how I live ‘Rolled up’.(‘Rolled up‘ is the word used as a term for the man who has all his stuff out, clothes folded and bed all ‘rolled up’ because he is ready and prepared to be released from prison.)When he asked me what that meant, I told him that is how I live my life now;Like a man ready to be released from a life sentence in prison.That the Lord may come back tomorrow.Just in case I am to be set completely free, I am ready for a BOOM & ZOOM!This man I was speaking to goes to a great Christian church.He claims to be a strong ChristianBut even he said to me, “C’mon man…they have been saying that for 2000 years!”Well, those are NOT the words of someone ‘keeping watch’, but of someone watching out for themselves.But this is not new. ☆ Knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” • 2 Peter 3:3-4Yes.Things ARE as they have been since the beginning of time.Wars, rumors of wars, race relations, sexual deviance, pornography & ungodliness.It has existed like this since the dawn of time.But;It is just that which makes the news today so entertaining and gets people to watch it.The sin nature of man seems to love watching it.Like traffic accidents we rubber neck to see, our ears tend to listens harder at times to the sin based doom and gloom.However, when we get out of self, stop being self centered, surrender to God and look to obeying The Word, peace, hope and love fill us.Love and Hope do not live with doom and gloom, love and hope lives for BOOM & ZOOM!That kind of love lives in the expectation and enthusiasm for what is coming.That love keeps watch. ☆ But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” • Luke 21:36The hope that comes from knowing that Jesus is coming back for us is not just good, it is also exciting!It comes with an enthusiastic expectation, knowing that God has promised us HE would come for us, and HE never breaks HIS promise.So how can that person,– who is keeping watch,– who has confidence of what is coming,– who has an assurance of what will happen, and– who has a faith that it will be great,ever be interested in any doom and gloom?No…that person is only interested in BOOM & ZOOM! ☆ Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. • 1 Thessalonians 4:17Let us spread that good news, sharing that great hope and lead others to that , so they too can live in that joy.I love you guys!
