Paths

What path are you on right now?
Is it the right one?
Most people think they are on the right path, because most people believe that what they are doing, and where they are going, is ‘right’.

But as we saw in the Old Testament, especially in the book of Judges, everyone was doing what was ‘right’ in their own eyes.

Think about that;
It is obvious they were not NOT doing what God wanted.
But
It is also obvious that they were also NOT doing what they actually thought was wrong.
They thought they were doing RIGHT!

It has been that way ever since the beginning.

☆ There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
   • Proverbs 16:25

It is probable that those folks aren’t intentionally doing what they think is wrong.
It is also probable that they may actually think that what they are doing is good…especially for them.

– Which means, to them, they are doing what is right,
– Which means, to them, it feels more natural
– Which means, for them, it must be good…for them.

And what is it that feels the best to mans natural nature?

  1. Lust
  2. Greed
  3. Sloth
  4. Selfishness &
  5. Pride

There’s more, but that is just for a start.

Mankind has been told, and all Christians should know, that God’s ways are not man’s ways.

However, we can still find ourselves doing what we want to do.
Why?
Because that is man’s nature.

Until we have a very real, and very deep ‘transformation by the renewing of our minds’ (Romans 12:2),
which creates in us the mind of God,
we will continue to walk down the path that we want.

Basically thumbing our nose at God…which has always been our sin nature.

☆ Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
   • Jeremiah 6:16

But God…

 – He can pierce our hearts.
 – He can reach our souls.
 – He can change our minds.
 – He can create in us a desire.

And when that happens, we will seek HIS way.
We will then be driven to walk after HIM.

☆ Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.
   • Psalm 25:4

All we have to do is ask.
Because God made us some promises.

He promised us that;
– When we ask, HE promises us it will be given unto us.
– When we seek after HIM, HE promises us that we will find.
– When we knock on HIS door, HE promises us that it will be opened unto us.
(Matthew 7:7)

The differences made in our lives, the changes that happen in our souls can not be measured.
There is no impact so great as the one where we have changed our minds from walking our own ways, but instead have chosen to walk the path of The Lord.

When we have decided to follow HIM, HE makes our way clear, and the peace that surpasses all understanding fill us when we walk HIS way.

☆ You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
   • Psalm 16:11

So, what path do others see you walk on?
 – Yours, or GOD’S?
What direction can others see you are going?
 – Yours or GOD’S?
What path do you lead others down?
 – Yours or GOD’S?

Let us walk, lead and direct others down GODS PATH!

I love you guys!
