Drowning In Disinformation

As we have been hearing every 3 minutes on T.V., Pod Casts, Radios or on almost everyone lips, our culture is Drowning in Disinformation.

About;

• Covid

• Vaccines

• Donald Trump

• Hunter Biden

• Joe Biden

• Russia

• Ukraine

 

So much noise about that disinformation. It is reported to us by all the talking heads as if it is the most dangerous threat our lives.

But is it even close to that?

 

What about the church?

Would you be surprised to know how many people are drowning in disinformation there?

Well, they are, and it is very dangerous.

 

   ☆ But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

 

One would be surprised at the different psuedo theological disciplines that are being taught, in the name of Christianity;

 

All the following practices are taught in large churches, with huge congregations, lead by great speakers, in passionate, convincing and believable way.

• Collective Salvation

• Liberation Theology

• Prosperity Gospel

• Miracle Healing Ministry

• Elevation Theology

• Extra Biblical Revelation

• Hyper-Dispensationalism

• Mormonism

• Latter Day Saints

• Spiritual Formation/Bethel

There are some who would even say that the Catholic Church should be in that list.

 

Many of the leaders of these group believe these sincerely believe what these groups teach, because they were also taught by leaders who taught these destructive philosophies.

 

But many other teachers from this list know what they’re saying is not true.

They’re just con-artists.

 

Remember the definition of a con-artist;

– Con (Short for confidence)

– Artists (which means skill set) – need a

– Mark (The person they want to swindle)

to gain their trust.

Their CONFIDENCE

 

They will tell JUST ENOUGH truth for the ‘mark’ to believe them, but lead them to a belief that causes them to take an action that profits the artists, but usually harms the mark significantly.

 

But in this case, the topic of today’s blog, the half truths, and lies that these cons use to achieve their goals causes eternal death to others by drowning in disinformation.

 

So what do we do?

 

   ☆ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

   • 1John 4:1

 

In the Bible, Paul spoke very complimentary about a group of people called the Bereans.

He would go there, preach to them, and as soon as he left, they would check the scriptures to confirm that what he said was either true or false.

Remember: he spoke glowing about them, he said that was good, he liked that they were verifying him.

 

So that is what we need to do.

 

 

Jesus prayed to God, His Father, to sanctify us in just that way.

 

   • John 17:15-18

 

We are to be sanctified by the Truth…The Word.

 

But we need to 

 – Go to The Word, 

 – Open The Word, 

 – Learn The Word, so we can 

 – Live The Word.

 

Because there is no other way we can save ourselves from drowning in disinformation from todays culture of the world, which is just lies, unless we live in the truth.

 

And when we live in the truth, we can become ‘Eternal Life-Guards’ to save others from drowning in disinformation.

 

   ☆ Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.

   • John 14:6

So, let us all be those ELG’s (Eternal Life-Guards), who can help others to find eternal truth, through The Word, so they can know GOD.
