Bible Study

This wouldn’t seem like a Bible Study passage at first glance, but when looked closer, this specific scripture talks about a few things;

 

1. That our faith is a long journey

2. That we need to prepare ourselves for that long journey

3. That when we are aware & prepare for that long journey;

We run in it with the skill, confidence, stamina and desire to get the BEST RESULTS!

 

What is the best way to achieve this?

 

 

The discipline, training and preparation of a life of a Christian does absolutely involve Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, and Small Group involvement.

The one thing that these spiritual workout exercises have in common?

They are ALL based on THE WORD!

 

So, the best way to do THOSE (Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, Small Group) 

Is to know THAT (The Word).

 

As we do THAT, we find it turns out to be the best way, to become the most disciplined Christian, and to have the strongest faith, to win the long race.

 

   ☆ All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness

   • 2 Timothy 3:16

 

How do we train for righteousness?

Bible Study.

This is what we are supposed to do.

 

When I was working out on a regular basis, I had the most fun doing something different.

During a 2 year period of time, I had a group of men that would meet twice a week to do cardio and lift weights. 

 

We called ourselves ‘The Moob Missionaries’

We were a bunch of middle-aged guys with man boobs, who loved the Lord and had a Bible Study while we worked out.

 

It was cool to be spotted on the bench-press & a scripture at the same time.

 

We were exercising our minds, bodies and spirits in one fun activity.

(While losing moobs and gaining muscle)

And, as the scriptures say, we were blessed by it.

 

   ☆ Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

   • Revelation 1:3

 

Again men, it is what we are SUPPOSED to do!

 

Not only will we be blessed, but we will also be encouraged. We will be strengthened and able to grasp what GOD is saying, directly, personally, intimately.

 

We can really get to KNOW HIM, and each other so much better, when The Word is the tool we use to get that knowledge.

 

And now, the world is quickly shifting away from righteousness of God.

All of the consequences of a self-righteous culture are very visible.

 

We see all the damage done to men, women, families, politics, economics and society as a whole…

 

Men…it has never been a more critical time in history to be in a Bible Study.

 

As the time approaches for Our Lord to return, 

We may be in the greatest spiritual battle the world has ever been in.

 

We will only be the best protected when we have been armed up in our armor of God with the Sword of The Spirit;

Which is The Word Of God!

 

Again men, THIS IS WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!

 

   ☆ Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.

   • 2 Timothy 4;13

 

So, if you are in a Bible study, great. 

I am glad you are, but no matter how invested you are in it…dive deeper. 

Get more serious. You will be blessed in every area of your life.
