Ever

This is the story of when I heard the word ‘EVER’ from God.
Ahavah Ministries has a group on Tuesday night, and we have been all doing an exercise to help us ‘hear God more’.
It is based on Habakkuk 2:1-3, where we pray, write down a question to God
And then;

          1. Be still (quiet)
          2. Focus on God
          3. Listen for HIM
          4. Write down whatever comes to our mind from that time.

So, when I wrote down the question ‘How do you love me?
I heard nothing but the very specific word ‘EVER‘ in my mind.

What?
I shook my head.
That confused me, I heard nothing else, just that.
Weird.
The word was not used in a sentence or in any way that could be discerned at that time.
Just that 1 word…ever.

When anyone thinks of ‘love’ and ‘God’ at the same time, usually the #1 verse in the Bible for ‘LOVE’ comes to mind;
____________________________________________________________________________
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
   • John 3:16
____________________________________________________________________________

Christian or not, most everyone knows that verse,
You see it everywhere!
From at ball games, to billboards, to protests and on and on.

The problem is most people do not understand that ETERNAL LOVE God is speaking about here, is a love that is FOREVER

But that is not what God told me. He didn’t say ‘forever‘.
He told me ‘EVER‘.
____________________________________________________________________________
☆ God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
   • Romans 5:8
____________________________________________________________________________

Christian or not, of the people who are even aware OF this verse, don’t realize what a statement of love that this is.

The problem is, how can someone really KNOW this verse, when they really don’t KNOW the Author.
They don’t understand NEVER in the past, have we done anything to stop the complete Love of Salvation that God has for us.
But that is not what God told me. He didn’t say ‘never‘.
He told me EVER.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
   • John 15:12
____________________________________________________________________________

So, there was my problem.
GOD wants me to love others, just like HE loves me.
HOW? Is GOD asking me to love ‘EVER‘?

I had no clue, so I called my mentor, explained to him, and he simply said,
‘Let’s look up what the definition of ‘ever’ is!’

It was;

          HE LOVES YOU(and me) ALWAYS
HE LOVES YOU(and me) AT ANY TIME
HE LOVES YOU (and me) IN ANY WAY

________________________________________________________________________
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
   • Romans 13:8
________________________________________________________________________

SO, we are to Love others, like GOD loves us!
EVER!
Do you?

Do you love others always?
Are you able to stay lving even in times of hurt, anger, disappointment, sadness?

Do you love others at any time?
Are you able to show that love when you are busy, hungry, sick, tired or anxious?

Do you love in any way?
Do you love in ways to meet others needs, or only love in ways that make you happy?

Christian, my heart is breaking right now, because I know how much I fail here.
Let us all be self aware and realize how much more we need to die to self here.

This is God commandment to us; to love others as HE loves.
Because then, if we live in that love, with that discipline everything around us will change.

☆ Let all that you do be done in love.
   • 1 Corinthians 16:14

The exercise of Habakkuk 2, and the sharing the writings with my mentor, has really started a new season of transformation.

I can not tell you how much more intimate my relationship is starting to become, as it is still brand new in this new stage of development.

Please, join me in getting to
KNOW HIM
HEAR HIM
BECOME ONE WITH HIM

And love EVER With him!
