Proverb 9 talks about FEAR.

I bet you don’t  ‘fear’  water, but you have a respect for the waves at the beach.

I assume you don’t  ‘fear’  fire, but you have a healthy consideration for how you hold your marshmallow when at the campfire.

Well, we know that God is more powerful than the biggest wave ever, and can rage hotter than the largest raging fire.

What is great about that mighty power; Is when we sincerely revere it, respect it and submit to it, we can than KNOW it.

The best part of that…is when we get to know Him, we receive an understanding that is not just knowledge, but WISDOM.

We get the wisdom of understanding how to apply that power.

Because God’s power can calm any raging sea of our life, and God is so mighty to keep us out of the flames of eternal death.
