There is the saying: ‘No man is an Island’.
But I would like to add this to that: ‘But he sure can be a harbor.’
Proverbs 26:24 says enemies harbor deceit in their hearts.
Whose enemies? Yours? Mine?
How about enemies of God?
If we are the Christian we say we are, then wouldn’t we love HIM with all of our heart?
If we love HIM with all of our heart, then wouldn’t we forgive, have compassion and love our enemies?
But be honest:
How many times have you spoken to someone you may not have liked, so you had to moderate your attitude, change your words;
Or shall I even say…lie…to hide your dislike?
Well, if we do what yesterdays Proverb tells us, which is to love our enemy, than we will really be able to do this proverb, which is to have no deceit in our hearts.
Let us live with HIS love in our hearts to EVERYONE, including those we don’t really actually care for.
I love you guys!
