Tangled Up in Transgressions

We all know
Sin can be Seductive.
Immorality can be Imperceptible
Guilt can be Gradual
as we can become
Tangled up in Transgressions.

Sin;
 – It can can start out as something that looks, sounds and feels good.
 – It can be something that feeds the real deep needs and greeds of our lust.
 – It can be bright, shiny, pretty and seem safe, as the corruption creeps in.
 – It can be the doorway that the enemy uses to get your attention off of God .

   And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
   • 2 Corinthians 11:14

So, how does it start?

Well, we have our Sin nature, that is a core component within us.
There is also the world, that is corrupt, as it is run by the enemy.
And then there is that enemy.

The enemy can speak so directly to the lusts of our lowest personal sin nature nature.
The enemy can communicate so sweetly, that the world thinks that it sounds like love.
The enemy can be so logical, that the lies the enemy speaks can be so persuasive.
The enemy has been doing this for so long, and so skillfully, that at first no one notices…
The change in us is so small, imperceptible, that we don’t even realize that the enemy is actually leading us to a dangerous.

Leading us to a place so dangerous, that it is ETERNALLY DEADLY.
The worst part, is that once we realize it, we are tangled up in transgressions so tightly that we, by our own power, are completely unable to remove ourselves from the trap.

   But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
   • James 1:14-15
But, my brothers and sisters, we are not talking about physical death, but eternal death.
And none of us want eternal death, right?

So, as we do what we must to accept Christ,
 – Confessing with our mouth that He is our Savior, and
 – Believing in our heart that He was crucified, buried and resurrected for our sins,
there are 2 more things that we must do;
Confess and Repent.

1. CONFESS
Come clean.
It is being accountable to the past life we had before Christ.
It is being honest about the fact our thoughts, behaviors & actions were sinful.
It is being able to admit that we know we need to change.

    If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
   • 1 John 1:9

2. REPENT
Change it.
It is about following both Jesus & John the Baptists 1st sermons.
It is about turning completely to opposite direction.
It is about freeing up our souls & hearts to start a new fresh, clean life.

    The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent
     Acts 17:30

Where sin had us tangled up in transgression, we can now have ourselves
Free Forever in Faith.

Let us;
Admit Christ is our Lord
Believe He died & was raised for our sin
Confess all our sin
Repent of all our past.

So that we can have exactly what The Word promises us;
   ☆ Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.
   • Romans 6:18
