The Word is ‘IN’ not ‘FOR’.
This is one of the biggest mistakes a Christian man can make.
Innocently reading those words, he can walk away with a different meaning.
It is a natural response;
HOW, God, can a man give thanks for
• My wife’s cancer
• My daughters miscarriage
• My marriage falling apart
• My financial problems

He can’t.
He’s also not even asked to.
Because the word is IN, not FOR.

God would never ask us to pray thanks FOR bad things, but He does ask us to pray thanks IN all things.
But why?

Because;
☆ We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
• Romans 8:28

All things are God’s tools for growth in our lives, if we let it.
Most bad things that have happened TO US;
Have come from the bad judgement BY US
(or somone we have chosen to be around us, who has made bad decisions.)

And if we are accountable, we will realize that and use it to build us, strengthen us and help us to never make that mistake again.
And it is in those times,which is so ironic, where we can feel the joy of the Lord!

☆ Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds
• James 1:2

Because THIS us the place, my brothers, where we become the men we really want to be. Where the real character of Christ in us is determined and built up.
‘IN’ these situations.

So, let us remember;
The Word is ‘in’ not ‘for’.

We can shout for joy to the Lord IN the bad times, for we know it is for His purpose FOR us to grow from it.

I love you guys!
