Are you SOME BODY?
Sadly too many people feel like an Any Body, or worse, a No Body, rather than turn it around to be A Raised Body.

Therefore we need to start living NOT in our own body.

Because that is what this scripture tells us.
We, our bodies, cannot be a raised body, unless it is owned by God, because then it can be.

☆ You are not your own; you were bought at a price
   • 1 Corinthians 6:19b-20a

This is telling us a very important message!

What we do with our body is indicative of how much value we place
ON THE PRICE THAT WAS PAID FOR IT
By who it actually now belongs to.

Would you place the same care of a lawn mower you owned,
Over a lawn more that you had borrowed from your neighbor?
Or a car, or clothes, or any other property that was not your own?
Probably not.
You would put much more caution and care into the treatment of another persons possessions, than you might for your own.

Sadly, as a Christian, I bet you do not do that with yourself.

   ☆ Sexual immorality.
All other sins a person commits are outside the body,
But whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
   • 1 Corinthians 6:18

Men, this is the top of the list for a reason….not by any ironic chance.
It is the most insidious, deceptive, destructive and deadly poison a man takes to kill his spiritual container.

But it is a sin against our own bodies,
a sin that only our eyes will probably see,
a sin that only our hearts on earth will know about,
a sin listed as the first, because it is probably the most dangerous.

If we, as men who have accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, continue with this sinful behavior;
• We are denying the ownership of our bodies to God
• We are abusing the one that belongs to God.
• We are invalidating any type of our value with God.
• We are making the price He paid for our body…worthless.

But let’s be honest, that’s only 1 sin of so many more.

The passage that today’s scripture comes from says;

☆ Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived:
Neither the sexually immoral (We touched on that)
– Nor idolaters
– Nor adulterers
– Nor men who have sex with men
– Nor thieves
– Nor the greedy
– Nor drunkards
– Nor slanderers
– Nor swindlers
Will inherit the kingdom of God.
   • 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

These sins starts from the heart of the desire within the man.
Then they go into the brain becoming the thought of the man.
  –  And, correct me if I’m wrong,
But isn’t the heart and the brain part of the body of the man?

Of course.

In this specific passage, it doesn’t specifically talk about how you eat, how you smoke, drink or exercise, but it does say that it is important in what you are doing because you are:
NOT YOUR OWN.

So, about your body:
What are you doing to respect it?
How do you value it for God?
How do you honor the price paid for it?

Because as this passage says;

☆ Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you, whom you have received from God?
You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your bodies.
   • 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

For if the price HE paid was the most by dying for us
Wouldn’t it be least that we could do, to live for HIM?

This way, we WILL be raised – LIKE HIM!

I love you guys!
